Do's and don'ts
MeetLocals works because members treat each other with respect. These rules apply to everyone.
Do
- Be yourself: use your own, recent photos and honest information.
- Be polite and respectful in every message.
- Take your time getting to know someone before meeting.
- Meet in a public place the first time and tell a friend where you are going.
- Report profiles or messages that make you uncomfortable via the report button or report@meetlocals.nl.
Don't
- Don't create a profile if you are under 18.
- Don't use someone else's photos or create fake profiles.
- Don't harass anyone or keep messaging someone who is not interested.
- Don't send explicit or offensive content.
- Don't offer, request or advertise money, gifts in exchange for company, paid arrangements or any commercial service.
- Don't send money to members, and never share bank details, passwords or ID documents.
Members who break these rules will be removed. Serious cases are reported to the police.
